HOW TO

Dress for the plane

October 18, 2017

“On the plane, I want to be comfortable but still chic. It’s all about layering and mixing it up. I love our Stella Top, which has a pajama silhouette but beautiful hand-embroidery and piping — wearable from day to evening, so it’s great for time zone changes. A loose drawstring pant, like our Goa trouser, is lightweight but covered enough to go from cold to hot weather, or vice versa. I roll them up when I land in the sunshine! Their deep pockets are also perfect for easy access to my boarding pass and Bigelow Mint lip balm. For accessories, I wear our Iris Slides in a fun color to go through security (you can never have too many pom-poms) and a straw hat, which doubles as my eye mask. Our medium-size Tuk Tuk is my absolute favorite carry-on — soft-sided to squeeze anywhere and the drawstring closure secures everything. Once I get to my destination, it’s an ideal beach tote.  A cozy shawl ties the look together and becomes a blanket for plane naps. It’s all easy but put together….” — Stephanie
