First off, we wanted to say that we hope you all are staying healthy and happy.
We also wanted to share something that we not only are obsessed with, but also is majorly helping us during this quarantine time… oHHo full-spectrum hemp oil!
Grown respectfully, sourced sustainably and developed with leading experts in the field, we could not think of a better time to share this powerful, precious oil.
Like Figue, oHHo is a small business committed to ethical standards and environmental consciousness. Their small scale farming practices allow for a more human and less industrial farming process, enabling oHHo to support individual families and local communities with utmost respect for the land.
We sat down with Nicola Stephenson, co-founder of oHHo, to learn more about her fantastic product and brand.
We love oHHo, and we hope their products will bring you a bit of serenity during this time.
What inspired you to start your line?
It was my husband, James’ idea… we are all just along for the ride!
Some dear friends, Clement Kwan and Scott Campbell, inspired us as we watched them set up their business, Beboe, which launched in this space a couple of years back. It was such an exciting time for the industry and we wanted to find a way to enter it in a meaningful way.
James and his best friend, Tim, decided to look at what was an emerging category, which has of course since exploded, but we couldn’t find what we were looking for. We wanted to make a clean, organically farmed product that was all-natural and used the entire plant. So we set about finding small growers across the country to develop our oils with.
It made sense to us that the oil, which is made from hemp, part of the Cannabis family could be treated like wine or coffee. Depending on the terroir, strain and environment, the plants are grown and influence their taste profile, properties and their smell. We currently have two core oils: one grown in the Hudson Valley in New York, one in Colorado. We will be launching oHHo Oregon at the end of this month.
This is an incredible plant and people just need to understand more about how it can serve them - our mission is to share what we know and bring this and other Plants with Benefits to the world.
